Crazy Google directions

My sister is getting ready to make her first trip to Hawaii in a few months. While we were helping them look for plane tickets, I entered their address into Google Maps to see exactly where they lived. However, I entered it in the "Get directions" section and it used my current location (here in Honolulu) as the beginning spot. I was blown away by the instructions. Take a close look at Step 13 and 14. (You can click on the image to see it larger.) Kayak 2,756.4 miles and then take a left onto N. Northlake Way. Haha. Apparently, programers have a sense of humor too.

Pineapple

Romney and I helped get Grandma's house ready to be rented. Along the side of the house was this cute baby pineapple growing in a flowerbed. I guess the downstairs renters planted it a while ago. This is for those of you who have never seen a growing pineapple.

Monkey Business

I went to Bishop Museum a while ago for a meeting with some of the staff. After the meeting, we were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the vertebrate and invertebrate collections. Here's one of the most interesting animals I saw preserved in a jar.

Here's a bit of a closer look.
