Week 5

This week we celebrated Korean New Year with our friends Caleb and Jen. They made rice cake soup for us that was really delicious! We also celebrated Chinese New Year by going to Happy Days restaurant and eating orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, honey walnut shrimp and cake noodles. So yummy! Happy New Year!!!

Week 4

We have a park close to our house. It was surrounded by homeless people but the city kicked them out, so we decided to go for a walk and see what was there.

Week 1 & 2

This was the view from my boss's house on New Years Day. Not too shabby!
One of my co-workers announced he's quitting his job with the Preservation Department at UH. He's been there 15 years. I've known him since I started Library School six years ago. This is his dog, Hoku. He's from the puppy mill that was shut down not too long ago. Kyle fostered him until he could be adopted.

New Years Resolution - 52 photos for 2012

Last year was pretty bleak in the world of photographs for us. We didn't make any special trips so we pretty much took no pictures. So I made a New Years Resolution to take one picture every day. I got the idea from Romney's uncle who did a 365 photo project two years ago. My new iPhone camera is 8 megapixels so I thought this would be a perfect activity. However, after day two of my attempt, I realized that the zoom feature of the camera sucks so I lost heart. However, again thanks to Romney's uncle, I changed my resolution to 52 photos a year, which is what he did last year and is attempting to do again this year. I figure that way, I've got all week to get at least one decent photo to post.
