We haven't done too much besides work and school this month. I have had to work several Saturdays and Dainan is trying to finish his contract renewal. We have been going on some walks and we found these two in the Moiliili Community Garden.
do you guys have a community garden plot?! shane and i just ours. i've got a lot of work ahead of me, but i'm looking forward to the learning experience. lizards everywhere! it's kind of neat to watch them attack the bugs. lots of lizards mean lots of bugs. so i went out and got me rubber boots to keep the critters off my feet and ankles. i'm all for getting out and working the earth and whatnot, but i still have my space boundaries when it comes to bugs!
Haha. Love your space issues. And we don't blame you! No, we don't have a community garden but we did think about it since we were so close to this one. Ultimately, we decided we didn't have the time to invest in one plus where would we put all the gardening tools since we are in a tiny apartment? I'm sure if we really wanted one, we could easily overcome these, but we're lazy. Maybe you'll motivate us now.
hahaha. totally understandable! we were on the waiting list for a long time. if i had a choice in the matter, i would have preferred to get it in the summer time so i had more daylight hours to work on it after work. by the time i get home, get changed and get over to the garden, i have less than an hour of light left. a little challenging that way. it has been very very slow going. no where close to even being ready to plant anything, haha. a real work in progress. i'm hoping it will take a lot less time as we go and get better at it.
