New Year (Week 1: January 1-5)

Last year's resolution
Well, with the end of 2012, I guess we need to look back and see how we did on our resolutions. I think I made several at the beginning of the year but quickly realized I was being overly ambitious. So I decided to pick one and stick with it, which happened to be our blog, to post once a week about something we did during the week. It was meant to get us out of the apartment to enjoy the beauty that we are surrounded with, and take pictures to share with everyone. I'm not sure how many people actually looked at our blog, but the statistics show we get a couple of views a week. So maybe this is more of a personal photo journal. Oh well. Anyway, we fell behind rather often, but always had content we were wanting to share, so some weeks I'd have to create two or three posts to catch up. But it feels good to know that a resolution made in January can be carried out all year!

This year's resolution
I'll be doing the same with our blog in 2013: posting once a week. I don't know if I'd really call it a resolution more than continuing a habit. I've also got a resolution to exercise each day. I had a friend, Nate, who did this and I was really impressed he could do it six times a week. So that's my goal. I'm sure it will help me feel better, think clearer, and perform better at work.

Now for this week's picture!
On New Years Day, Romney and I went for a walk to Waikiki. While most of you mainlanders are stuck in snow and ice (or at least chilly weather), we enjoyed the warm breezy weather of Hawaii. As you can tell from the photo, LOTS of people were enjoying the beach!

  2. I've been enjoying the blog as well! So I guess you now know who those two page views are coming from ;-)
I'm impressed with how well you kept up the blogging; it really does seem like a good way to get you out of the house and doing things. Perhaps I should make the same resolution...
